My Week
Let's see, what has been going on? I did not go into Mangement Programming this time around. From what I hear it is a good thing. I guess they are taking 6 out of the 8 trainees to go to N.H. stores. I will be appling for the September/October class though. I hope to get into that one. I got to hang out the outher night with two old friends(Paige and Becki) and one new one(Jen) and had lots of fun at Del's. Lots of memories there. Good and bad, but mostly the good ones. I was suppose to go out tonight to be with Paige, but ended up falling asleep. Kat kinda woke me early and I never did get back to sleep. Oh well. I had a romantic dinner tonight with my wife. She made cheese ravioli and garlic bread. We ate by candlelight. It was sweet and nice of her. Right now I am watching Dallas play, and win for the 3rd time in the pre season games. Very happy there.
Over all it has been a good week. Oh, and I got a great book to read, thanks to Jen. I didn't want to go to the library the other day, but went in anyway. Glad I did now. It is called The Loch, and yes, it is about the Loch Ness Monster. It bases real science discoveries with the myth, which makes it really interesting to read. I might have found a new author to like. His name is Steve Alten. I might have to go get a library card to check out his other books. Something Kat will like I know.
Yep, that is it. Work and friends. Not much else.

My brain is full....can I quit now?
I forgot to ask Kat about the dog. We have a lady willing to give us a lapsoapsopalooza(I don't know) for free. Kat is not sure we are able to care for another pet right now. Plus she needs to call the landlady to ask if she does want one. I was suppose to have an answer last night. Opps.
I went to see a friend before work last night. She is going through a divorce, and was having problems. She has alot going on, which I will not bore you all with, but it gave me something to think about while at work last night. She is suppose to call on Weds morning so we can go for coffee and talk more. I hope she does.
That is two big things. My sister called the other night, her youngest is acting up again. He had to go to the hospital for a week. Not a good sign. I just hope he doesn't go through the crap his brother did. It was hard on my sister then, and will be again if the younger one turns out the same, or worse. I worry about her health alot. She can be too forgiving and leinant (sp?) sometimes. So there is three.
I get to work last night and first thing I get told is to call the store manager in Augusta for an interview for mangement programing coming up. I am not sure I want this position right now. I was looking forward to pharamacy and relaxing a little. But I have to make the call. So I just got done with it on the phone. It went well, I know that. Plus I have about a 50% chance of getting it. Being a support already, I think I probally will. So that is four.
At the end of the interview the guy said that they will be choosing soon. He also mentioned that the class should be starting in about 2 weeks. So I am thinking Fri or Mon they will be calling the people they want. More money and days would be nice. Lots of hours, no set schedule and a differant store not so nice. So now I have about 2 days to sit and weigh my options on whether or not I want this position. I am more worried that if I don't go for it now, when I do want to they will not take it as serious. I might get passed over quickly next time.
So those are the 5 biggest concerns I have. My brain is full, and if it doesn't shut up I will stab it with a q-tip.

The invention of Super Stick Ball!!
So we went to Kat's reunion thing today. It was actually more fun than I expected. Jen and I took some pics of us with our heads in a lion's mouth and touching something we were not suppose to. I am sure Kat will post the pics of these in her blog, so please check them out there. Besides the trips to the river, Jen and I went exploring, and the random conversations we had with people there, we invented Super Stick Ball. During one of the few dull moments Jen and I decided to walk over to the tennis courts. We grabbed the Superman ball from her trunk, and I broke a large stick into two littler sticks. By the time we got to the courts the game had not been invented. We had to start playing and made the rules up as we went, as any good sporting inventors would. The rules are simple. You must hit the ball over the net with the stick. As long as the ball stays in-bounds, you must go after it and try to hit it back. If the ball hits the net and is still bouncing, you may hit the ball with the stick, then over the net. If the ball travels out of bounds, your opponent gains a point. If the ball travels over to another court, you use that court until the ball travels again. So this way you could use all three courts. To serve the ball, which goes to whoever has it, you bounce it first and then hit it. If playing doubles or triples, you can either have all people on one court, or spread out over the courts. In this case as long as the ball does not hit the red "out of bounds" area, you can chase it all over the place.
Jen is currently winning 15-13. No, I was not trying to lose, Jen just serves well by having the ball bounce once in bounds and then out. Oh, that reminds me of another rule. If you hit the ball in the air as it is traveling out of bounds to the green in bounds area and it continues to bounce, you can run after it to hit it over the net.
So it was a fun day. I had Jen bring me home early to watch the last 3 mins of the Cowboys game. I was hoping it would be half time, but I guess the station it was on (124) did not have commercials. They won!! 13-3.
Mom brought over a bed frame she found for 5 bucks for us. I set it up before Kat got home. So now we are not sleeping on the floor!! Love my Mom. I just sat down from setting the bed up when Kat arrived. Good timing.
This evening I went to get Sarah so we could visit Chris. I was telling them about Super Stick Ball. They want to play sometime. Found challengers Jen!! I went to take Sarah home and we were talking inside when Sarah suddenly stops, looked at me and said "Go outside, NOW!" I had left the car running and we were just looking out the window at the lights. I flew out, ran around the corner to go down the stairs, and saw........NOTHING. We are then trying to look in the car, checking the back seat and all. Course it is dark and we can't see a thing. I start down the steps and Sarah reminds me to stay away from the doors, just in case there is someone in there. I creep up on the side near the back door to open it, turning on the light. NOTHING AGAIN. But it was creepy and fun.
So that was my day. Lots of excitement and fun. I get to work tommrrow. I look forward to going to bed, above the floor.

Neat Quiz......Great results.
Your results: Faithfully Yours
Congratulations, you're in a well-connected and rich relationship. You spend quality time with your partner, and the two of you are friends as well as lovers. You walk in each other's shoes and care about one another on a deep level. You don't let the kids get in the middle of your relationship, and there's still palpable passion between you.
Although your relationship is on solid ground now, don't take it for granted. Partnerships are very fragile and can be easily bruised. Keep up the damage control and nourish your relationship on a daily basis.
As you get older you might feel sucked into your careers or your children. Keep emphasizing the importance of your relationship and make sure it comes first in your life. Check in with each other on a daily basis and build up each other's egos as far as they will go.

A S S H O L E
So today started off good. We went shopping and I found an old friend. Found out he is moving to Mass, but at least I got to see him before he left and gave him my email. So now I get to stay in touch. The guy is great to talk to about anything, he is an awesome sounding board for things, and is an honest straight shooter when he talks. So even though it will suck I don't get to go see him to talk, at least I got to see him and keep communication open.
After that Kat and I went to see Pirates 2. It was a great movie. We needed time out, and I think it was nice it was just the two of us. I love Jen and did miss her there(she was working) but I did miss the Kat and me time. Never really notice until we get some. I think it is because I do love having Jen around us too. So after the movie we went to see our special lady, and she is coping well. I took her puppy out for a walk, I hope it tired him out some for her. I do miss hanging out with her too. Then we came home. Kat had to go back, she left the mice for the snakes on the counter.
All was well until I got Jen and we came home. Matrix, my asshole cat, bolts out the door in front of Jen. He ran around outside for 5 mins before I asked Jen to go get a flashlight cause I could no longer see him. Doesn't help much the bastard is black. She comes back with Kat coming out soon after. Matrix is running around the bamboo tree line, his tail all puffed out, but he is sniffing and investigating anyway. I almost get him and he runs into the bamboo. Now I have to go crawling into it after the fucker. Another 10 or 15 mins go by before I scare him out and he runs under the cars in the driveway. He darts from one to another until he gets to the last one. Jen reached out and almost had him. She came up with a handful of hair. I got down and crawled under to get him. He tried to claw me and I almost lost him. So I picked him up by his feet, two in one hand and two in the other. We finally get the dumbass inside and I spanked him, telling him to never run from Mom again.
We are going to a bbq tommrrow for Kat's classmates. Ya. Fun. I get to come home early to see the Dallas game, much to Kat's disappointment. It was a compromise. I hope to have some fun while I am there though. I will tell you all about it then.

Chest Pain
So I have a major pain in the center of my chest, right above the sterunum. I figure it's from talking to my Mom today about changing my last name to Kent. She seemed ok with the idea, but not fully. Plus she said my father probally won't like it at all. I told her I won't change it without them both being accepting of it, I don't want to hurt my parents that way. I also mentioned that if I was Superman, no one could have taught me how to be a better and stronger person than my father, and Kent would be a good reflection on him too. She promised to talk to him sometime when she thought it would be right, and let me know what he says. I am still nervous. I told Kat about it and she is excited to change our names, as am I, but I cannot bring myself to do it without Dad saying ok.
I tried to sleep later on (I had been up all day on 2 hours sleep) and woke up to Kat and Jen discussing money issues. Yet another stress in our house. They didn't mean to and I am not upset at them, it just sucks to still be in this situation of tight money and bills. Hopefully another couple of months and all will be well again. Just in time for Christmas!!!
All three of us got early presents today. Kat got a huge (movie sized) poster of the DaVinci Code that she loved from my Mom. Jen got a pink bean bag from us. I got my hunting licence from Mom. Not a bad day really.
We didn't make it to the movies tonight with friends. But we are catching the matinee tommrrow. I can't wait to see it. Everyone I have talked to loves Pirates 2. Just wish our special friend could come. Maybe we can call and find out.
Well, that is about all for now. Not much that exciting has happened. Oh, how could I forget this??!! I got Sin City for me and Jen to watch, but we went to Sarah's and watched it with her too. Another Bruce movie!!! Yaaaa!!!!!

Superman to the Rescue
Once again Superman comes through. Last night at work a bat got into the store. After chasing it from one side to the other and back, a maintance worker and I netted it. The bat squeezed out of the net and I put my hat over it. Not thinking, I started to pick it up with my hand. Once I relized I could get bit, I let him go, and he took off flying again. Keeping him in a small area, we managed to get him to land. Guess where that was, in a 6pack of Rolling Rock. At least the bat had good taste. I borrowed some gloves from a dairy associate and picked him out of the beer. He squirmed on the way out, but took off and was flying high and happy in minutes. Superman saves the bat, man.
